It wasn’t the easy path— less than 2% of all Kona coffee is grown this way—but it was the right one. As one of the last certified organic coffee farms on Kona, we embrace the hard work required to let nature guide us. We don’t fight Mother Nature; we work with her, using natural solutions to protect our coffee plants from pests and diseases.
Our dedication goes beyond the farm—it’s a way of life we call Kulia i ka Nu'u, meaning to strive for excellence in all things. Instead of relying on conventional growing techniques, we craft our own mulch, use naturally enriched fertilizers, and implement sustainable methods for pest and weed control. This commitment ensures that our coffee is free from pesticide residues and synthetic fertilizers, earning us the coveted USDA organic certification.

Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond the cup. We’ve invested in an 8,000-square-foot mill powered entirely by renewable energy. This off-grid system runs the farm, processing mill, and roastery, including dehumidifiers, air conditioners, and three large coffee dryers. Even on-site accommodations are powered sustainably.
By switching to renewable energy, we’ve reduced our reliance on fossil fuels and achieved substantial savings on utility costs.
